Collaborating with a colleague from Hendrix College in Arkansas, Overby examined the difference between radio and television advertisements. Radio ads are often more radical than TV ads because the demographics listening to a particular station are usually more segmented, allowing for “niche marketing” and bearing “tremendous implications for the way democracy works.”
